Where will these classes be taught?
GED/ESL classes and Phlebotomy classes will be taught at 404 Fawcett, Smithville, TX 78957.
Certified Nurse Assistant classes will be taught at Towers Nursing Home, 372 Hill Rd in Smithville, Texas
Skilled Trades classes will be taught at Riverbend Park at 107 State Highway 71 in Smithville, Texas
Who will teach the classes?
Phlebotomy, HVAC & Plumbing will be taught by Austin Community College.
CNA will be taught by the staff of Towers Nursing Home.
GED/ESL will be taught by Community Action.
How long does it take to complete the classes?
HVAC and Plumbing classes are 16 to 20 weeks, depending on the schedule of the classes and days offered.
Do I need a GED or high school diploma to take the classes?
Some classes will require a GED or high school diploma. See each class description for details.
If I DO need a GED or diploma, do you offer those classes?
Yes, the Smithville Workforce Training Center has partnered with Community Action to offer GED & ESL classes.
